Transportation

You have several options for returning home or being transported to another facility of your choice :

  • If your state of health requires it, your physician may prescribe your return home by ambulance (transport lying down) or by medical transport – light vehicle adapted to patient transport (seated transport) following your hospitalisation. These forms of transport are only covered by insurance if they are prescribed.
The medical team will give you a transport slip which you can use to request reimbursement by Social Security of your expenses incurred. You are free to choose the transport company you wish to travel with. Ask the healthcare staff at the Victor Hugo Clinic for more information.
  • You can use your personal vehicle if your state of health permits.
  • You can also call a taxi that is approved for transporting patients.
