You have several options for returning home or being transported to another facility of your choice :
- If your state of health requires it, your physician may prescribe your return home by ambulance (transport lying down) or by medical transport – light vehicle adapted to patient transport (seated transport) following your hospitalisation. These forms of transport are only covered by insurance if they are prescribed.
The medical team will give you a transport slip which you can use to request reimbursement by Social Security of your expenses incurred. You are free to choose the transport company you wish to travel with. - You can also call a taxi that is approved for transporting patients.
